To obtain release for show or sale, the mass majority of DVDs undergo a
review and certification process - providing some general classifications of
content and their suitability for audiences. Some DVDs are exempted from
certification on grounds of being designed to inform, educate or instruct; for
example concerned with sport, religion or music.
This online library utilises a hybrid system based on the British Board of
Film Classification (BBFC) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA)
ratings systems.
Click on the Certification codes and logos for a more detailed description of
the classification and a list of respective DVDs.
